David Friedberg

David Friedberg is the CEO, chairman, and co-founder of Ohalo Genetics, which is accelerating evolution to unlock nature's potential. Friedberg excels at developing and deploying agricultural technologies that boost farmer productivity while reducing humanity's land, water, and energy footprint.

Friedberg is also CEO and founder of The Production Board (TPB), a venture foundry that builds and invests in technology businesses in food, agriculture, and life sciences. Prior to TPB, Dave was founder and CEO of The Climate Corporation, the world’s leading digital agronomy software platform, used by farmers across 200+ million acres worldwide. Monsanto acquired The Climate Corporation in 2013, when he joined Monsanto (now Bayer) as a member of the executive leadership team. Earlier in his career, Dave held senior roles in Corporate Development and Product at Google. He graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in astrophysics.

Friedberg is founder and former CEO of The Climate Corporation, offering hardware, software, and insurance services that bring together hyper-local weather monitoring, agronomic data modeling, and high-resolution weather simulations to help farmers protect and improve their operations. Friedberg founded the company in 2006; it was acquired by Monsanto in 2013. He was previously with Google, where he held several roles in corporate development and product management. Before Google, Friedberg spent several years in investment banking at Jefferies Broadview, investing in technology companies at a small private equity firm, and working as a mathematical programmer for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
