Michael G. Jacobides Biography
Michael G. Jacobides is the Sir Donald Gordon Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Professor of Strategy at London Business School. His research focuses on business strategy, digital ecosystems, and the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on organizations and society. Jacobides studied at University of Athens, University of Cambridge, and Stanford University, and received his doctorate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has held visiting positions at Harvard Business School, New York University, Cambridge, Imperial College London, Bocconi University, Singapore Management University, and University of Paris.
Jacobides examines industry evolution, business model innovation, value migration, and structural change in firms and sectors, with a particular emphasis on how digital ecosystems reshape the business landscape.
