Pom Klementieff

Pom Klementieff is a French actress celebrated for her dynamic performances in both Hollywood blockbusters and independent films. Born in Quebec City, Canada to a Korean mother and a Russian-French father, Klementieff's early life was marked by global movement due to her father's diplomatic career, living in countries like Japan and the Ivory Coast before settling in France. Tragically, she lost her father to cancer at the age of five, and her mother, suffering from schizophrenia, was unable to care for her, leading Klementieff to be raised by her paternal uncle and aunt. These early experiences instilled in her a resilience that would later define her career.

Klementieff began her acting journey at 19, enrolling in the Cours Florent drama school in Paris. Her talent quickly shone through when she won a theater competition, earning two years of free classes with the school's top teachers. Her first professional role came in the French independent film "Après lui" (2007), and she gained further recognition with a leading role in "Loup" (2009), where she immersed herself in the Siberian wilderness to authentically portray her character.

Klementieff's Hollywood breakthrough occurred with her portrayal of Haeng-bok in Spike Lee's "Oldboy' (2013). However, she achieved global fame as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" (2017), "Avengers: Infinity War" (2018), "Avengers: Endgame" (2019), "Thor: Love and Thunder" (2022), and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" (2023).

Expanding her action repertoire, Klementieff took on the role of the formidable assassin Paris in "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" (2023) and reprised the role in "Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning" (2025). Her commitment to performing her own stunts, bolstered by her martial arts training and skydiving experience, added authenticity to her performances.

Beyond her on-screen endeavors, Klementieff is multilingual and has a passion for adventure, holding a purple belt in Taekwondo and a B License in skydiving, with over 230 jumps to her name.
