Among the ranks of professional speakers, trainers and consultants, Philip D. Steffen is one of the most "sought-after" in the world. Companies and associations across the United States, Canada, and as far away as Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany, Malaysia and Singapore have profited from his "uncommonly" common sense, business insights and projections for the future.

Phil has been an educator, a record-breaking salesperson (he was #1 in the world with one company), a management executive and CEO of two companies he founded. He formed his first business, Steffen Associates, in 1976. In 1987, he established The Bottom Line Group, an international consulting firm. Phil has authored one book,Philosophies, Phacts and Phunnies and is working on another.

He is one of the few professional speakers in the world to have received BOTH the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation and the Council of Peers Award of Excellence (CPAE) from the National Speakers Association. As a speaker, he has paid his dues, giving over seven hundred presentations in the corporate world before forming his own firm. He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University (with highest honors) and attended graduate school at Southern Illinois University and additional graduate courses at the University of Arizona and the University of Georgia.
