Richard Madden

Richard Madden is a Scottish stage, film, and television actor whose career spans two decades and a wide range of genres. Madden began acting in his teens, taking only a brief break to focus on his education. He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he worked with the Glasgow Theatre Troupe and performed in Franz Xavier Kroetz's play "Tom Fool" at Citizens Theatre. He toured with Shakespeare's Globe company as Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet," a role he later reprised in the West End.

Madden gained recognition for his portrayal of Robb Stark in the first three seasons of HBO's fantasy drama "Game of Thrones," earning the Screen International Award for Star of Tomorrow. His performance as the King in the North contributed to the show's global impact and established Madden as a sought-after actor in the entertainment industry.

Madden further expanded his profile with his role as a war veteran and Principal Protection Officer in the BBC thriller series "Bodyguard," for which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama. He was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time and appeared as music manager John Reid in the biopic "Rocketman" and as Lieutenant Blake in the war film "1917." Madden has also starred as Ikaris in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film "Eternals" and as Mason Kane, an amnesiac spy, in the action thriller series "Citadel" on Amazon Prime Video. In "Citadel," Madden appears alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a narrative centered on global espionage and memory recovery. He is set to lead as Secretary of Defense Webb Preston in the Netflix thriller series "Trinity," an eight-episode production from Jed Mercurio. Madden's career encompasses Shakespearean theater, major streaming franchises, and blockbuster films, reflecting his range and commitment to acting in the global entertainment industry.
