Matt LaFleur

Matt LaFleur serves as the Green Bay Packers' 15th head coach, bringing extensive experience in football coaching and player development to the National Football League. LaFleur played quarterback at Western Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State, where he set program records in passing yards, completions, and passing touchdowns. He transitioned from a collegiate playing career to coaching, advancing through roles in both college and professional football before joining the Packers.

LaFleur began his NFL coaching career with the Houston Texans as an offensive assistant and later held coaching positions with the Commanders, Falcons, Rams, and Titans. His expertise in offensive strategy was evident during his tenure as offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans. With the Rams, the team improved its scoring output and overall performance, while the Titans ranked among the league's top teams in rushing offense. As quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons, LaFleur contributed to a Super Bowl appearance and supported Matt Ryan during an MVP season.

Upon joining Green Bay, LaFleur set an NFL record for most wins by a new head coach in his first three seasons. He became the first head coach in league history to record three consecutive seasons with 13 or more wins, guiding the Packers to multiple NFC North titles and NFC Championship Game appearances. According to Elias Sports Bureau, his regular-season win total ranks among the highest for a head coach in his first seven NFL seasons. LaFleur has led the Packers to six playoff berths in seven seasons, matching the franchise records set by Vince Lombardi and Mike Holmgren.

A key aspect of LaFleur's coaching approach is quarterback development. Under his leadership, Aaron Rodgers earned consecutive NFL MVP awards. Following Rodgers' departure, LaFleur guided the transition to Jordan Love, who led the Packers to playoff appearances in his first two seasons as starting quarterback.
