Maria Bartiromo

Maria Bartiromo is a prominent figure in American financial journalism, with a career spanning more than three decades. Bartiromo joined CNBC after five years as a producer, writer, and assignment editor with CNN Business News, where she contributed to several of CNN's business programs. She became the first television journalist to deliver live reports from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, marking a significant development in financial broadcasting. During her tenure at CNBC, Bartiromo launched the network's morning program, "Squawk Box"; anchored "The Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo"; and served as anchor and managing editor of the nationally syndicated "On the Money with Maria Bartiromo," formerly "The Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo."

Bartiromo has received multiple awards, including two Emmy Awards and a Gracie Award. Her first Emmy recognized her News and Documentary coverage of the financial collapse, with her "Bailout Talks Collapse" segment broadcast on NBC Nightly News. She later earned a second Emmy for the documentary "Inside the Mind of Google," which aired globally on CNBC, and a Gracie Award for "Greenspan: Power, Money & the American Dream," also broadcast on CNBC.
