Daniela Amodei is co-founder and president of Anthropic, an artificial intelligence safety and research company known for the "Claude" series of large language models. As an American entrepreneur, Amodei leads Anthropic, a public benefit corporation dedicated to developing reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems with a focus on long-term societal benefits. Amodei's career began in global health and politics, where she managed business development at the IRIS Center and worked on poverty and conflict resolution projects. She later managed communications for Matt Cartwright's congressional campaign in Pennsylvania.
