Robert J. Turbin Biography

Robert J. Turbin is a former NFL running back whose eight-year professional football career included roles with the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, and Indianapolis Colts. Turbin played college football for the Utah State Aggies, where he finished with 3,315 rushing yards on 565 carries and tied the school record with 40 rushing touchdowns. He also set the school record with 51 career touchdowns and 308 points scored. Turbin earned WAC Offensive Player of the Year honors and received academic recognition during his time at Utah State, where he was inducted into the university's Hall of Fame.

Turbin was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by the Seahawks and contributed to the team’s Super Bowl XLVIII victory over the Denver Broncos. He played a key role in the Seahawks’ back-to-back Super Bowl appearances and concluded his NFL career with the Seahawks.

During his playing career, Turbin began exploring sports media, hosting the radio show "The Turbo Show" on Kube 93 in Seattle and co-hosting the television show "Sports Locker" on WISH-TV in Indianapolis. After retiring from professional football, Turbin expanded his presence in sports broadcasting, making his television debut on NFL Network and providing color commentary for SiriusXM and CBS Sports Network as a college football game analyst. He also launched a podcast series on the Bleav Network, live-streamed on Twitch, which attracted a substantial audience.

Off the field, Turbin has focused on philanthropy and entrepreneurship. He founded the Runnin4U Foundation, which supports accessibility in technology and nutritional research for individuals affected by multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy. Turbin also established the Robert Turbin Football Academy, an annual football camp at Utah State designed to help youth develop athletic skills.
