Greg Kaufmann Biography

Greg Kaufmann is the Head of Storytelling and Narrative at End Poverty in California (EPIC). In this role, he focuses on creating platforms for working-class people to share their experiences, ideas, and insights so that we change the story about poverty and mobility.

Prior to joining EPIC, he was a poverty correspondent at The Nation, where his column was syndicated by Bill Moyers. He was also the founder of TalkPoverty.org at the Center for American Progress, where he was a senior fellow. He has appeared on numerous national and local programs on networks including PBS, MSNBC, and NPR, and his work has also been featured on CBS News, The Washington Post, USA Today, Newsweek, and Business Insider.

Prior to joining EPIC, he worked as narrative advisor to Stacey Abrams at the Southern Economic Advancement Project.
