Chevalo Wilsondebriano has taken his mantra of “People buy from people” to unbelievable heights. As one half of the power couple behind the nationally acclaimed Charleston Gourmet Burger Company, Chevalo’s innovative use of social media to pair his story with his business has lead to rapid seven figure growth.
A former FDNY EMS Paramedic, Chevalo was a 9/11 World Trade Center First Responder and survived the collapse of the second tower. His experience of that day is memorialized at the National 9/11 Museum at Ground Zero.
Despite overcoming tragedy and retiring from FDNY after 25 years, Chevalo embarked on a new path of connecting with people in business. He decided to bring to market a backyard burger seasoning mixture created by himself and his wife. By utilizing low cost ad sets on social media platforms including Facebook, Chevalo was able to grow his company from selling at local farmers markets, to offering his products in over 2,000 retail locations nationwide including Walmart, Kroger, Lowes Home Improvement, Whole Foods Market, Sam’s Club, Costco & others.
Chevalo appears regularly on national television offering his products on QVC. He’s also appeared on The Food Network, NBC’s The TODAY Show, several news broadcasts, as well as numerous major print publications. Chevalo serves on Facebook’s exclusive Small Business Council and was a featured speaker at Facebook’s 2018 Global Marketing and Sales Summit.
