Jeffrey Goldblum is an actor and jazz musician recognized for his wide-ranging roles in film, television, and music. His notable portrayals include Dr. Ian Malcolm in the "Jurassic Park" film series, with appearances in "Jurassic Park," "The Lost World: Jurassic Park," and "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom." Goldblum's film career includes major box-office successes such as "The Fly," "Independence Day," and its sequel "Independence Day: Resurgence." His other significant roles span a diverse set of films including "The Mountain," "Isle of Dogs," "Thor: Ragnarok," "The Grand Budapest Hotel," and more recently, portraying the Wizard in "Wicked" and "Wicked Part Two."

In addition to his acting career, Goldblum has made substantial contributions to television, starring as Detective Zach Nichols in "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" from 2008 to 2010 and making guest appearances on shows like "Will & Grace" and "Portlandia." He is also the host of the documentary series "The World According to Jeff Goldblum," which premiered on Disney+ in November 2019.

Goldblum's passion for music led him to a successful jazz career, performing with his band, Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. They have been featured in venues across the country and released two albums, "The Capitol Studios Sessions" in 2018 and "I Shouldn't Be Telling You This" in 2019.

His early career began in the mid-1970s, with his first significant role in "Death Wish." Goldblum continued to garner attention in films such as "Annie Hall" and later achieved leading roles in "Earth Girls Are Easy," "The Tall Guy," and "Into the Night." His strong supporting roles include "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," "The Big Chill," and Wes Anderson's films "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel."

Beyond acting and music, Goldblum has been a prominent voice in several commercial campaigns and has taught acting in North Hollywood. His directorial efforts include the live action short film "Little Surprises," which was nominated for an Academy Award for "Best Short Film, Live Action." Goldblum was also a founding member of the New York theater company, The Fire Dept, established in 2006.
