Josh Flagg Dishes Tips on the LA Housing Market - YouTube
Josh Flagg is an author, real estate broker, philanthropist, and television personality. Flagg is also star of the hit Bravo television show "Million Dollar Listing."
Flagg likes setting records. Within the first four years of his career, Josh participated in four record sales, three of which are in our own city of Beverly Hills.
Flagg participated in the highest sale in the history of Brentwood Park. He also participated in the highest priced sales on Foothill Road, Monovale Drive and Roxbury Drive.
Son of Michael and Cindy Flagg, and grandson of Edith Flagg, Josh grew up on the Westside, and attended Brentwood School. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 2004 and jumped right into high-end residential real estate. Josh had the choice to either join the family business, which owns and develops shopping centers, or go a different direction. He chose a different direction.
On the board of the Friends of Greystone, a non-profit organization that donates time and money to the restoration of Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, Flagg aspires to carry on his grandparents’ and parents’ legacy of giving back to the community.
Josh wrote a book, "A Simple Girl: Stories My Grandmother Told Me," about his grandmother's survival during World War II in Germany and then her successes in the US. He also authored "Million Dollar Agent: Brokering the Dream" about the real-estate industry.
Josh is also one of the stars of Bravo TV's "Million Dollar Listing." “He pampers his clients,” said one local Realtor, “in a way I have never seen before, and I’ve been in the business for 25 years. I’ve seen Josh send chauffeured cars to his clients’ homes and send his clients up in helicopters to view properties. The best thing I have seen Josh do, though, was wrap an entire house in a big red bow before delivering the keys to the new owners. He is very creative, and that is why he is so successful. In Josh’s mind, there are no limitations.”
Flagg does do more than sell real estate, though. He also is a world traveler, having been to more than 50 countries. If you ever want to know where to stay in a particular city, just ask him.
He will not only give you a few choices, but he will tell you which particular rooms to request!
“My funniest experience so far was when I fell into the pool of a client’s house in the middle of a showing, clothes, jewelry and all! Well I couldn’t let that slow me down, so I put on the owner's robe, threw on some slippers and continued the showing. The buyers sent me a pair of swim-trunks when we closed escrow.”
