Roy and Ryan Seiders Biography
YETI was founded by Roy and Ryan Seiders in 2006. The brothers grew up in Driftwood, Texas, and spent a large portion of their childhood outdoors. Their father Roger Seiders had designed a fishing rod epoxy. Ryan graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 and Roy graduated from Texas Tech University in 2000.
The brothers collectively own and operate Paloma Ranch, a roughly 17,000-acre hunting and retreat property in South Texas, featuring utility-focused lodge architecture that reflects their practical, outdoor lifestyle.
Ryan Seiders is the co-founder and Chairman at YETI Coolers. An avid fisherman and hunter, Ryan still competes in angling tournaments and serves as a trustee of the International Game Fish Association. His lifelong love of the outdoors continues to shape YETI’s culture, product design, and marketing ethos centered around conservation and storytelling.
Roy Seiders founded YETI with his brother, Ryan Seiders, in 2006 and served as CEO until 2015, and was active on YETI’s board until 2020. Roy is passionate about sharing his experiences growing YETI into the global brand and company that it has become. He has spent the last several years co-leading YETI Capital and using his business acumen to advise entrepreneurs on various strategies by which to build their businesses.
