Ricky Schroder

Rick Schroder is an actor, director, and producer with a career spanning more than four decades in the entertainment industry. As a child actor billed as Ricky Schroder, he debuted in the film "The Champ," becoming the youngest recipient of the Golden Globe Award, and later starred in the sitcom "Silver Spoons." The show, which focused on the relationship between Ricky and his father, Edward Stratton III, played by Joel Higgins, established Schroder as a well-known figure in American television.

Transitioning from child stardom, Schroder adopted the professional name Rick Schroder and began pursuing more mature roles. His performance in the Western miniseries "Lonesome Dove" on CBS, alongside Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones, marked a significant shift in his career and demonstrated his range as an adult actor.
