Ricky Dillard

Ricky Dillard, a gospel songwriter, singer, and choir director, started his music career in 1987 in the realm of Chicago house music before transitioning to the Christian music scene. His initial venture into gospel music was marked by the release of his album, "Promise," under the label of Muscle Shoals Records. Dillard's music prowess is evident as his albums consistently found their place on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. Notably, "Promise" garnered a nomination at the 34th Annual Grammy Awards, marking his first Grammy nomination.

Dillard's discography, including "A Holy Ghost Take-Over," "Hallelujah," "Work It Out," "7th Episode," and "Keep Living," continued to make waves in the music industry. His album "Amazing" stood out, earning a nomination for Best Gospel Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. His contributions to gospel music did not go unnoticed, as he won the Traditional Choir of the Year at the 36th Annual Stellar Awards and later received the prestigious James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award at the 37th Annual Stellar Awards.

With a career spanning over three decades, Dillard has been recognized for his excellence in gospel music by The Honorable Sheila Jackson-Lee, who honored him with Congressional Recognition. His latest work, "Choirmaster II," is eagerly awaited by his followers. Dillard, who has recorded 13 albums with his choir, New G, continues to share his musical talent, recently appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show singing "All of My Help" on February 22, 2022.
