Pete Seat is more than a guy with a rhyming name. The only child of immigrant parents, he is a former White House spokesman, nationally recognized political commentator, Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow, Council on Foreign Relations Term Member, columnist, author and adjunct instructor at the University of Arizona.
A regular national news commentator and prolific writer who has appeared live on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, NewsMax and NewsNation more than 200 times combined, Seat’s voice is sought after for both his astute political analysis and his zeal for playing Devil’s Advocate with conventional wisdom (is there even such a thing?). As a speaker, he is regularly invited to contribute his political, communications and generational insights at national and international conferences and events, including most recently in New York City, Charlotte, Brussels and Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Based in the Midwest Heartland of America, Seat sees political life from the day-to-day perspective of the average American, while at the same time possessing a keen understanding of the ways in which Washington, D.C., works (or doesn’t) following his tenure on the White House staff of President George W. Bush. Utilizing his unique (yet relatable) set of experiences, Seat helps audiences transcend the talking points to better understand how it all comes together (or all it will all come apart).
A communications strategist by trade, Seat has formally and informally devised comprehensive communications and messaging plans, drafted remarks and statements, prepped for media interviews and served as a spokesman for, among others, a president of the United States, governors, senators and business leaders. Highlights include: communications director on the historic 106-day gubernatorial campaign of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb; communications director for former Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats’ victorious 2010 U.S. Senate campaign; and deputy assistant press secretary to President George W. Bush where Seat worked alongside press secretaries Tony Snow and Dana Perino and logged thousands of miles aboard Air Force One.
He is also the author of the book "The War on Millennials," the definitive guide to the generational grievances and political preferences of Millennials; a member of the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network (Spring ’18 Class); a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member; an Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow (2018 Class); and teaches a remote course on the American Presidency at his alma mater, the University of Arizona.
