M. Night Shyamalan

Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan is a film director, screenwriter, producer, and occasional actor known for his work in supernatural suspense and twist endings. After studying film at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Shyamalan made his feature directorial debut with "Praying with Anger." He achieved significant recognition with the supernatural thriller "The Sixth Sense," starring Bruce Willis, Toni Collette, Olivia Williams, and Haley Joel Osment. The film was a commercial success and received six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay.

Following "The Sixth Sense," Shyamalan directed films such as "Unbreakable," "Signs," and "Split," which continued to explore supernatural themes and psychological suspense. His filmography also includes "The Happening," "The Last Airbender," and "After Earth." Shyamalan returned to critical and commercial attention with "Split" and "Glass."
