Keith Morrison

Keith Morrison is a Canadian broadcast journalist known for his extensive career in television news in both Canada and the United States. Morrison began his career in the 1960s, working for radio and television stations in Canada's western provinces before joining CTV Network, where he served as correspondent, producer and news anchor. At CTV, Morrison received recognition for his coverage of national politics, a Middle East conflict, and the Boat People refugee crisis following the Vietnam War.

Morrison joined Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as substitute anchor and chief political correspondent for The Journal, the network's nightly public affairs program. He later moved to NBC, first as co-anchor of the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. news on KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, then as a West Coast correspondent for "NBC Nightly News" and "Today." Morrison contributed to NBC's coverage of major international events, including the student protests and subsequent massacre in Tiananmen Square. He produced documentaries and reports for various NBC News magazine programs and "Nightly News."

After a period anchoring CTV's morning program in Canada, Morrison returned to NBC as a correspondent for "Dateline NBC," the network's long-running primetime newsmagazine. His investigative journalism has included coverage of high-profile cases such as the disappearance of two Idaho children, the "Dirty John" case, the Robert Durst trials, and wrongful convictions. Morrison's work has been recognized with Emmy, Christopher, Sigma Delta Chi and Edward R. Murrow awards. He was also part of the broadcast's induction into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.

Morrison has hosted more than a dozen original podcast series, including "Murder in the Moonlight," "The Girl in the Blue Mustang," "The Thing About Helen and Olga," "Mommy Doomsday," and "The Thing About Pam." He has also hosted top-ranked podcasts such as "Murder & Magnolias," "The Seduction," "Killer Role" and "The Thing About Pam," which has been downloaded over 33 million times. NBC aired a series inspired by one of these podcasts, starring two-time Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger. Morrison also hosted the podcast "Something About Cari," which explores the case of Cari Farver, a woman who vanished in Omaha.

Morrison is recognized for his distinctive storytelling style, marked by a measured and dramatic delivery that engages audiences in complex narratives.
