Jordan Belfort

Jordan Belfort is a former stockbroker, author, and motivational speaker known for his rise and fall on Wall Street, which became a widely recognized financial story in the United States. Belfort built a prominent sales organization as the owner and founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, employing more than 1,000 stockbrokers and raising over $1 billion to launch numerous companies. As head of Stratton Oakmont, Belfort orchestrated a stock market scheme involving fraudulent "pump and dump" penny stock sales. Following regulatory investigations, Belfort pleaded guilty to securities fraud and money laundering, served a federal prison sentence, and provided testimony against several co-conspirators.

Belfort authored the memoir "The Wolf of Wall Street," which Martin Scorsese adapted into the film "The Wolf of Wall Street." The film received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations, with Leonardo DiCaprio earning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy for his portrayal of Belfort. Belfort's memoirs, including "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Catching the Wolf of Wall Street," have been published internationally and translated into multiple languages. His story has been further explored in the three-part project "The Real Wolf of Wall Street" on Paramount+.
