Following his film debut, Evans was cast in action and thriller films including "Immortals," "The Raven," and "The Three Musketeers." He starred as antagonist Owen Shaw in "Fast & Furious 6" and played Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's adaptation of "The Hobbit." Evans also portrayed Dracula in "Dracula Untold." His ability to take on both heroic and villainous roles has established him as a versatile leading actor in major studio productions.

Evans returned to the stage in the play "Backstairs Billy" at the Duke of York's Theatre in London's West End. His memoir, "Boy from the Valleys: My Unexpected Journey," published by Ebury Books, details his childhood, family background, early singing competitions, and his path to a career in acting and music. He has also co-starred in the action-thriller film "Bear Country" and joined the Amazon Prime Video series "Criminal" in a lead role.
