Todd Bowles Biography
Todd Robert Bowles is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League, as well as a former player. He played eight seasons in the NFL as a safety for the Washington Redskins (1986–1990, 1992–1993) and the San Francisco 49ers (1991).
Bowles was the interim defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012, and then for the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 and 2014. He was the interim head coach for the Miami Dolphins for the final three games of the 2011 season with a 2-1 record, and served as the head coach of the New York Jets from 2015–2018. On January 8, 2019, Bowles was hired as the defensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rejoining Bruce Arians as a member of his staff after Arians was hired as the team's head coach. On March 30, 2022, Bowles was named the head coach for the Buccaneers after Bruce Arians shifted to a Senior Football Consultant.
