Michael Biehn Biography
Michael Biehn is an actor, producer, director and screenwriter. He is known for portraying characters that are in the military or that have a connection to law enforcement. Biehn regularly works in the science fiction genre and he frequently collaborates with filmmaker James Cameron.
His first major role was in "The Fan" alongside Lauren Bacall, but Biehn's breakthrough performance was as Kyle Reese in "The Terminator" alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. This would be the beginning of Biehn's collaborative work with James Cameron. He later starred in "Aliens" and "The Abyss," among other Cameron directed projects. Biehn received a Best Actor Saturn Award nomination for "Aliens," and received The Life Career Award at the 2011 ceremony.
In 2011, Biehn made his directorial debut with "The Blood Bond." His follow up film "The Victim" was released that same year. Biehn has been producing films since 2013. He co-founded Blanc-Biehn Productions with his wife, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn. The production company makes grindhouse-style movies and has an emphasis on working with female filmmakers.
To date, he has fifteen credits as a producer or an executive producer, including six upcoming releases. Much like his acting career, most of his work as a producer is within the genres of action, science fiction and horror.
