Michael Malice Biography
Michael Malice is a Ukrainian-American author, podcaster, and cultural commentator recognized for his work at the intersection of politics, history, and media. Based in New York City, Malice is known for his perspectives on anarchism and his contributions as a columnist and media personality. He describes himself as an anarchist without adjectives.
Malice first gained public attention as a ghostwriter for high-profile celebrities and unconventional figures, developing a reputation for navigating complex and controversial narratives. He co-authored several books with prominent personalities, including "Made in America," the New York Times bestselling autobiography of UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes; "Concierge Confidential," named one of NPR's top five celebrity books of the year; and "Black Man, White House," comedian D.L. Hughley's satirical account of the Obama years, also a New York Times bestseller. Malice is the founding editor of Overheard in New York.
He published his first solo work, "Dear Reader: The Unauthorized Autobiography of Kim Jong Il," after beginning his career as a ghostwriter. This book marked a shift toward political history and theory, with Malice conducting firsthand research in North Korea. He has since released additional solo works, including "The New Right: A Journey to the Fringe of American Politics" and "The White Pill: A Tale of Good and Evil." Malice is also the subject of the graphic novel "Ego & Hubris," written by Harvey Pekar of American Splendor.
Malice hosts "YOUR WELCOME with Michael Malice," a video podcast on Podcast One. He has been a regular guest on Fox News and Fox Business Network programs such as "The Independents," "Kennedy," "Red Eye," "The Greg Gutfeld Show," "The Story with Martha MacCallum," and "Tucker Carlson Tonight." His appearances also include "The Joe Rogan Experience," "The Rubin Report," and the Lex Fridman Podcast, where he discusses topics in politics, philosophy, and culture. Malice is a regular columnist at Observer.
Through bestselling ghostwriting, solo authorship, and podcasting, Malice has established a presence in political commentary, media analysis, and cultural critique. His work explores themes of individual liberty, skepticism of authority, and the dynamics of political discourse, engaging audiences across ideological lines.
