Evette Ríos is a Puerto Rican lifestyle expert, writer, television host and native New Yorker. She is one of
the stars of ABC's The Chew where she serves as field correspondent and roving reporter, bringing
viewers the latest news from around the country. From covering events, and dishing on new and exciting
food trends, to sharing new ways of using ordinary household items. The December/January 2012 issue of
Latina Magazine named Ríos one of the 50 reasons to love being Latina and the “Mobile Martha Stewart”.
Evette’s work on The Chew makes her the only Latina on a national daytime talk show.
She has been a contributing design expert and “buddy” to the Daytime Emmy Award Winning show,
Rachael Ray, where she’s known for fabulous hands-on advice, innovative crafts, and dramatic room
revisions - wowing Rachael and the audience with budget-friendly projects that look like a million
bucks. Recently, Rachael personally invited her to be one of 7 “buddies” on the newly rebranded Ehow
Food Channel, Rachael Ray and Her Buddies, where she serves as Entertaining Expert.
In addition to her headlining blog on rachaelray.com and her weekly blogs on her own site, evetterios.com,
Evette is known as a host of the popular Better Homes & Gardens 100-Days of Holidays online video
series. 100-Days is widely credited with driving BHG’s website traffic over 100-million-hits.
Evette has brought her can-do attitude and offbeat sense of humor to Planet Green’s flagship show, The
G-Word. As the “Salvage Queen” she finds ways to spare the environment while spotlighting green art and
sustainable solutions everywhere. She even creates amazing furniture from curbside junk!
Previously, Evette was co-host and designer for Freestyle (HGTV), and TLC’s home repair show In A Fix.
Other appearances include the Today Show, the Early Show, CW11 Morning Show, and she is a regular
monthly contributor to Al Despertar on Univision in fluent Spanish. She is a contributor to Everyday with
Rachael Ray and Siempre Mujer magazines. She has also shared gardening tips on Inside Edition, in a
series of appearances inspired by the Obamas’ garden. She is currently working on a few book projects
and contributed a chapter to the best selling book, The Experts Guide to Doing Things Faster published by
Clarkson Potter.
Her Puerto Rican roots, love of travel, and years mentoring with some of NYC’s finest architects and
designers have both inspired and influenced her work. However, nothing sparked Evette’s design and food
interests more than watching her parents cook together and work on homes as a child. She lives in
downtown Manhattan with her fiancé Stephen, dog Baloo and cats Henwin & Miss Kitty.
