Glenn August Biography
Glenn R. August is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Oak Hill Advisors, a leading alternative investment firm with more than $50 billion of capital under management across performing and distressed credit investments in North America and Europe. He serves as global head of the firm's distressed investment activities. In addition, Mr. August chairs or serves on various firm committees, including the partnership, investment strategy, and several fund investment committees.
Mr. August co-founded the predecessor investment firm to Oak Hill Advisors in 1987 and took responsibility for the firm's credit and distressed investment activities in 1990. He has played leadership roles in numerous restructurings and, since 1987, has served on seventeen corporate boards.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lucid Group, Inc., MultiPlan, Inc., and three Churchill Capital special purpose acquisition companies. Mr. August also serves on the Board of Trustees of Horace Mann School and The Mount Sinai Medical Center, and on the Board of Directors of the Partnership for New York City and the 92nd St. Y. He earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a B.S. from Cornell University.
