After 35 years at CNBC, Bob Pisani stepped away from his as Senior Markets Correspondent on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, and started a new chapter: one focused on speaking, consulting and sharing the lessons he’s learned from a lifetime covering the intersection of markets and media. Pisani is still planning to continue to collaborate with CNBC PRO as a Contributor and to help build out their content and conference business. For 28 years, Pisani reported live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as CNBC’s Senior Markets Correspondent. Surrounded by traders on the floor, he covered the movement of major indices, corporate earnings, IPOs, the SEC, market structure, the impact of global economic and political developments on investor behavior, the growth of indexing/passive investing and the remarkable rise of ETFs. He witnessed the remarkable transition from traders shouting on the floor of the NYSE to nearly all- electronic trading.

When Pisani started in this role, it was still possible to talk about the U.S. stock market in isolation. Not anymore.
