Taylor Kinney Biography
Taylor Kinney is an American actor and model. On TV, he is best known for his role as Lieutenant Kelly Severide from Squad 3 on the hit series, "Chicago Fire", and its spin-offs "Chicago P.D." and "Chicago Med" on NBC whcih he was cast on in 2012. His other roles include fan favorite Mason Lockwood on "The Vampire Diaries" on The CW, Glenn Morrison on "Trauma" on NBC and as Craig, the former high school crush of the lead character Fiona, on "Shameless." His film work includes The Other Woman, Consumed, The Forest and Zero Dark Thirty. Kinney was also featured in Lady Gaga's music video for the song "You and I" in 2011.
Kinney was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Pamela Heisler, a dental hygienist, and Daniel Kinney, a banker. He and his three brothers were raised in Neffsville, Pennsylvania by their single mother. Kinney studied business management at West Virginia University, before developing an interest in acting.
