Ryan Day Biography
Ryan Day is the head football coach at Ohio State University who has learned under some of the top minds in the sport. Prior to becoming the head coach, Day spent two seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Buckeyes under Urban Meyer. In 2018, he also led OSU to a 3-0 start to the season as interim head coach. Prior to arriving in Columbus, Day worked under Chip Kelly as the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. All of his prior coaching experience was on the college level. Before making the NFL jump, Day was an offensive coordinator at Boston College and Temple. He also had separate stints as a wide receivers coach at both schools. Day's first job in coaching was with tight ends under Kelly at his alma mater, New Hampshire, in 2002. He went on to serve as a graduate assistant at Boston College in 2004 and under Meyer at the University of Florida in 2005. Day immediately got into coaching following his record-setting career as a quarterback at UNH.
