Quentin Vennie

Quentin Vennie is the CEO and co-founder of Equitea, a mission-driven beverage company focused on destigmatizing mental health and expanding access to wellness products. Vennie is a wellness entrepreneur and international speaker, as well as the author of the memoir "Strong in the Broken Places," which details his experiences overcoming addiction, anxiety, and depression through holistic practices such as meditation, yoga, and juicing. His work has been featured in outlets including Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, and MindBodyGreen. He has been recognized by Black Enterprise as one of its 100 Modern Men of Distinction and by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for his advocacy in mental health and addiction recovery.

Vennie's career reflects a commitment to service and equity. Prior to founding Equitea, he served as vice president of The Yoga Alliance Foundation, where he developed the organization's first direct services yoga program and led the Equity in Yoga initiative. He has contributed to advisory boards for mental health research and trauma-informed mindfulness programs, and has delivered keynote addresses at events such as Colin Kaepernick’s Know My Rights Camp. Through Equitea, Vennie works to reduce barriers for founders of color and increase access to mental health-focused products, with the company’s teas available in retailers nationwide and supported by partners including Gwyneth Paltrow.
