Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev is a Canadian actress and model. Born in Bulgaria, she moved with her family to Canada at age two and grew up in Toronto. Her first acting role was as Mia Jones in the drama series "Degrassi: The Next Generation." She later became known for portraying Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on The CW's supernatural drama series "The Vampire Diaries."

Dobrev has also appeared in several feature films, including the coming-of-age drama "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," the action comedy "Let's Be Cops," the horror comedy "The Final Girls," the action thriller "XXX: Return of Xander Cage," and the sci-fi drama "Flatliners," among others. She also starred in the romantic comedies "Dog Days," "Then Came You," and "Love Hard," and had a leading role in the CBS sitcom "The Fam." Additional films include "The Out-laws," "The Bricklayer," "Reunion" and "Sick Girl." In 2021, Dobrev made her directorial debut with the short film "The One." She also executive produced "The League," a baseball documentary which premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

In addition to her work in entertainment, Dobrev is also the co-owner of Fresh Vine Wine with her best friend, dancer Julianne Hough. She also serves as an ambassador for SeaLegacy, a Canadian-based nonprofit organization that uses art, science, and conservation to protect the ocean.
