Myles Smith is a British singer-songwriter whose heartfelt blend of folk, pop, and Americana has propelled him from local open-mic nights to international acclaim.

Born in Luton, England, Smith grew up in a British-Jamaican household immersed in diverse musical influences—from pop-punk and hip-hop to traditional Irish pub tunes. He taught himself guitar and piano by age nine and began performing publicly at 12, drawing inspiration from artists like Ed Sheeran, Marcus Mumford, and Chris Martin. After earning a degree in sociology and social policy from the University of Nottingham, Smith initially pursued a corporate career before dedicating himself fully to music.

Smith's career took off in 2022 when a stripped-down acoustic cover of The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather” went viral on TikTok. This exposure led to management under Eric Parker of Extended Play Music Group and a record deal with Sony Music UK. In 2023, original singles like “Solo” and “My Home” began gaining traction, culminating in the release of his debut EP You Promised a Lifetime in March 2024.

His breakout single “Stargazing,” released in May 2024, soared to number four on the UK charts and achieved multi-platinum status. The song’s themes of self-discovery and enduring love resonated globally and earned a spot on Barack Obama’s 2024 summer playlist. It was featured on Barack Obama's 2024 summer playlist and led to Smith winning the 2025 BRIT Rising Star Award. He also received nominations for Best Pop Act and Song of the Year. In December 2024, he was named TikTok's Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
