Kelsey Plum

Kelsey Plum is recognized as a leading guard in women's basketball, known for her scoring achievements and impact on the sport. At the University of Washington, Plum became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I history, finishing her collegiate career with 3,527 points. She averaged 31.7 points per game as a senior, a mark that remains among the highest in modern college basketball. During her college tenure, Plum earned several major honors, including the Honda Sports Award, John R. Wooden Award, Wade Trophy, Nancy Lieberman Award, Naismith College Player of the Year, USBWA Player of the Year, Dawn Staley Award, and AP Player of the Year. She was the first player in Pac-12 history, male or female, to surpass 3,000 career points.

Plum was selected first overall by the San Antonio Stars in the WNBA Draft, with the franchise later becoming the Las Vegas Aces. Her professional journey included overcoming a significant Achilles tendon injury sustained while practicing with the 3-on-3 Olympic squad. After surgery and rehabilitation, Plum returned to competition and won a gold medal in 3×3 basketball at the Tokyo Olympics, contributing to the first-ever women's 3×3 basketball Olympic gold medal alongside Stefanie Dolson, Jackie Young, and Allisha Gray.

In the WNBA, Plum earned the Sixth Player of the Year award and played a pivotal role in the Aces' first WNBA title, later being named All-Star MVP. The Aces went on to secure consecutive WNBA championships, becoming the first team in over two decades to achieve back-to-back titles. Plum became the fifth fastest player in league history to reach 400 made three-pointers in the regular season. Internationally, she played overseas, winning the Turkish Cup and consecutive Turkish Super League championships.

After seven seasons with one organization, Plum was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks. She earned her fourth consecutive All-Star selection and posted career highs in points, assists, rebounds, and steals in her first season with the Sparks. Plum also led Team Phantom to a championship at Unrivaled, recording 31 points and five assists, and was named to the All-Unrivaled First Team and was a finalist for the regular-season Most Valuable Player Award. Later that season, she was traded to the Phoenix Mercury.

Off the court, Plum serves as a vice president of the WNBPA and is an advocate for the growth and fair compensation of women's professional basketball. Her career is marked by record-setting scoring, championship success, Olympic achievement, and leadership within the women's basketball community.
