Karri Turner

Dr. Karri Turner Bryant, D.Min., M.Div., is a pastor, scholar, ordained clergywoman, and national and international award-winning speaker whose work focuses on empowering women in ministry and the marketplace. Bryant is dedicated to the transformative power of faith, education, and women's empowerment, using her platform to support women and girls in developing meaningful relationships with their faith and advancing in both spiritual and professional arenas.

Bryant holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Morris Brown College, a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and a Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in Christian leadership and renewal from Regent University School of Divinity. After initially considering a career in politics, she chose to pursue ministry, becoming licensed and ordained as a minister and later as an elder. Her personal experiences, including navigating divorce and unemployment, have informed her work as an international speaker, author, philanthropist, and entrepreneur.

Bryant is the author of "The Girl Bible," "She's Lit," and "The Nudge." She also released a journal and planner titled "The Nudge," which is part of her mentorship initiative focused on spiritual, personal, and professional growth. Her signature event, "Life Behind the Collar," serves women in ministry and the marketplace, and she leads The Lit Life Bible Study and Worship Series, along with other community-building gatherings. Bryant hosts the podcast "Life Behind The Collar," expanding her reach in faith-based leadership and women's empowerment.

Bryant designed and launched the Distinguished Women of Color - Doctoral Cohort at Payne Theological Seminary, supporting women pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry with a focus on women in ministry and the marketplace. She is a member of The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Bryant serves as the first lady and executive pastor of creative/experience at New Birth Church in Atlanta, where she provides leadership in creative production, broadcast, marketing and communications, online ministry, events, worship and arts, and women's ministry.

Bryant has received multiple awards for her contributions to ministry and the marketplace, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the United States Black Chambers Powerhouse 50 Women of Influence Award, the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation Helping Hand Award, the Cheryl Magazine Woman of Influence Award, and the FECDC Pinnacle Leadership Award. With a significant following on social media, Bryant continues to be a prominent voice in faith leadership, women's empowerment, and community engagement.
