Jason Isaacs

Jason Isaacs, an accomplished actor trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, rose to prominence with his role as Lucius Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" series from 2002 to 2011. He has showcased his versatility in various television series such as "Brotherhood," "Awake," "The OA," "Star Trek: Discovery," and "The White Lotus." The latter of which earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Isaacs' stage presence was highlighted when he played Louis Ironson in the Royal National Theatre premiere of Tony Kushner's "Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes" and as the hitman Ben in the 2007 revival of Harold Pinter's play "The Dumb Waiter" at Trafalgar Studios in the West End.

In addition to his live-action roles, Isaacs has provided his voice to several animated characters, including Admiral Zhao in "Avatar: The Last Airbender," the Grand Inquisitor / Sentinel in "Star Wars Rebels," Lord Enver Gortash in the video game "Baldur's Gate 3," and Eminence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series "What If...?." He has shown his range in films such as "The Patriot," "Black Hawk Down," "The Tuxedo," "Peter Pan," "Archie," and as Major Briggs in the film "Green Zone." His portrayal of Field Marshal Georgy Zhukov in "The Death of Stalin" earned him an Evening Standard British Film Awards nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Isaacs' performances have garnered critical acclaim and several nominations. He was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film for "The State Within," the British Academy Television Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Harry H. Corbett in "The Curse of Steptoe" and the International Emmy Award for Best Actor for "Case Histories." In 2011, Isaacs won the Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries, Limited Series or Television Film and in 2021, he won the San Diego Film Critics Society Award for Best Supporting Actor.
