James Dyson

Dyson's development of the bagless vacuum cleaner began in the late 1970s, inspired by the use of cyclonic separation technology in sawmills. Frustrated by the performance of traditional vacuum cleaners, he spent five years testing more than 5,000 prototypes before creating a model that used centrifugal force to separate dust from air. After initial rejection from established manufacturers, Dyson introduced the "G-Force" vacuum cleaner in Japan, where it achieved commercial success and received a design award. The subsequent launch of the Dyson Dual Cyclone in the United Kingdom established the product as a leading vacuum cleaner in the market.
