Jack Antonoff

Jack Antonoff is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer known for his significant impact on contemporary music. Antonoff is the lead vocalist of the rock band Bleachers and previously served as the guitarist and drummer for the pop rock band Fun, as well as the lead vocalist of the indie rock band Steel Train. His career gained momentum when Fun released its debut album, "Aim and Ignite," followed by the breakthrough album "Some Nights," which produced the number-one hit single "We Are Young." The band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist and Song of the Year.

Antonoff launched Bleachers as a solo project, establishing it as a prominent act in the alternative and indie pop music scene. With Bleachers, he released the single "I Wanna Get Better," which topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, and achieved further success with the albums "Strange Desire," "Gone Now," and "Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night." Subsequent albums included "Bleachers." Antonoff has accumulated more than a dozen Billboard number-one albums and singles as an artist, producer, and songwriter. He also founded and curates the annual Shadow of the City music festival in New Jersey at Asbury Park's Stone Pony.

As a producer and collaborator, Antonoff is recognized as one of the most sought-after creative partners in the music industry. In addition to his work with Bleachers, he has collaborated with artists such as Taylor Swift, Lorde, The Chicks, St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey, Kevin Abstract, Sia, Carly Rae Jepsen, FKA Twigs, Sara Bareilles, Tegan & Sara, Troye Sivan, and Grimes. Antonoff gained particular prominence as a music producer following his work with Swift, contributing to three Album of the Year wins for "1989," "Folklore," and "Midnights." He has also produced and co-written four songs on Sabrina Carpenter's album "Short n' Sweet," including her first Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, "Please Please Please." Antonoff is credited with reviving mainstream interest in vintage recording techniques and '80s-inspired production aesthetics, influencing a generation of producers and artists across pop, indie, and alternative music.

Antonoff has won thirteen Grammy Awards, including the Producer of the Year award for three consecutive years, as well as several for his work with Swift, including Album of the Year for "1989," "Folklore," and "Midnights." He made history at the Grammy Awards as the first producer to win the "Big Four," achieving this milestone by winning Record of the Year as a co-producer of "Luther" by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. The only other musicians to have completed that "Big Four" feat are Christopher Cross, Billie Eilish, and Adele. Antonoff was also named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people.

Beyond his studio work, Antonoff is an advocate for social causes. He co-founded The Ally Coalition with his sister Rachel Antonoff, which hosts an annual benefit concert called "The Talent Show" that has raised more than $2 million to support LGBTQ issues. He is also an advocate for Planned Parenthood and LGBTQ rights, having collected signatures from high-profile artists, writers, and creators to deliver a message to legislators considering anti-LGBTQ laws. Whether performing as Bleachers' frontman, producing chart-topping albums, or supporting social causes, Antonoff maintains a consistent presence in the music industry and advocacy communities.
