Glass Animals

Glass Animals are an English indie rock band from Oxford. The group released their debut album Zaba in June 2014 as the first release on producer Paul Epworth’s label Wolf Tone, and their second album How to Be a Human Being arrived Aug. 26, 2016, to critical acclaim. The band has toured internationally and appeared on festival lineups such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds, Falls, Southbound and Bestival.

Lead singer and songwriter Dave Bayley originally planned to go to medical school at London King’s College before Epworth spotted the band performing in London. Bayley grew up in Texas, where his interest in hip-hop helped shape the band’s stylistic influences.

Zaba was the band’s debut album and by 2015 had brought the band to 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their songs “Gooey,” “Black Mambo” and “Toes” from Zaba remain among their most-popular tracks on Apple Music. A deluxe version of Zaba was issued in August 2015.

In 2015 the band toured both hemispheres and played over 130 shows in a single year. Their October 2015 U.S. tour included two sold-out shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles and sold-out shows across America including Terminal 5 in New York City, The Riverside in Milwaukee and The Midland in Kansas City.

On May 16, 2016, the band released the lead single “Life Itself” from their sophomore album How to Be a Human Being, set for release Aug. 26, 2016. On July 25, 2016, they released the second single “Youth” and on Aug. 22, 2016 — four days before the album — the third single “Season 2 Episode 3."

Since then, Glass Animals have released their third studio album, Dreamland (2020), and achieved a major breakout hit with “Heat Waves”. More recently, the band announced their fourth studio album, "I Love You So F**ing Much," which was released July 19, 2024. The lead single “Creatures in Heaven” came out April 3, 2024, and it was followed by the single “A Tear in Space (Airlock)." The album was promoted via their “Tour of Earth” beginning in summer 2024.
