FKA Twigs Biography
FKA Twigs is an award-winning British singer, songwriter, and choreographer celebrated for her genre-blending sound and visually striking artistry. Known for hits like “Two Weeks,” “cellophane,” and her feature on Ty Dolla $ign’s “Ego Death,” she has earned acclaim for her fusion of electronic pop, R&B, and avant-garde visuals. Twigs won the 2019 MTV Europe Music Award for Best Alternative and received a 2020 Grammy nomination for Best Music Video.
Raised in a creative family, she began dancing young and later studied at London’s BRIT School before pivoting to music. Her 2012 self-released debut, EP1, led to a record deal with Young Turks and the release of her breakthrough album LP1 (2014), which reached the UK Top 20 and U.S. Billboard 200. Praised for her innovation, she was named a Spotify Artist Spotlight and one of Billboard’s Artists to Watch that same year.
Twigs has also showcased her talents in film and dance. She wrote and directed the experimental dance project "Soundtrack 7" and earned critical praise for acting roles in "Honey Boy" and "The Crow." Fresh off her Eusexua tour across Europe and North America, she will next star in the upcoming horror film "The Carpenter’s Son."
