Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her contributions to contemporary pop and R&B music. Cara began her career by posting acoustic covers on YouTube at age 13, which led to her signing with EP Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings. She released her debut single, "Here," which gained significant attention after receiving over 500,000 streams on SoundCloud in its first week and became Spotify's Most Viral Song of 2015.
