Emily Osment Biography

Emily Osment is an actress, singer and songwriter. Osment made her big screen film debut in Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams as Gerti Giggles as well as co-starring in Disney’s TV and film franchise Hannah Montana as Lilly Truscott. She is also known for her roles in Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams & Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. While initially getting into singing for movie singles and Disney albums, Osment went on to release her own album which featured songs like “Let’s Be Friends” and “Lovesick”. In addition to Osment’s 10MM+ social media followers, she also has a national clothing line for girls and is involved with several charities including Disney’s Friends for Change and Make-A-Wish Foundation. She is also a Global Ambassador for STOMP Out Bullying.

Osment’s career began in 1998 when she is a cast in a few commercials. The next year, she went on to co-star with Glenn Close in the Hallmark Classic TV film Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter’s End for which she would get a Young Artist Award Nomination. From there, she went on to do a number of appearances in shows like Friends and 3rd Rock From the Sun. Osment achieved international fame with her role of Lilly Truscott on Hannah Montana. She was heavily involved in the promotion of Hannah Montana including writing several hit songs for the series and going on tour to promote the show. With her entry into the music world, Osment then decided it was time for her own solo album in 2009. Her album reached #117 on the Billboard Top 200.

Osment has also voiced several characters on the animated series Family Guy since 2012. Most recently she played the lead role on Young & Hungry which aired on ABC Family for 5 seasons and garnered several People’s Choice and Teen Choice award nomination. Up next, Osment is starring opposite Michael Douglas in the highly anticipated Netflix comedy The Kominsky Method.
