Aaron Pierre Biography
Aaron Pierre, a native of the London Borough of Bexley, is an English actor of Jamaican and Sierra Leonean descent. A graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Pierre has appeared in the BBC One series "The A Word" and the Sky Atlantic series "Britannia," and starred as Dev-Em in the Syfy series "Krypton."
On stage, Pierre played Cassio in Othello at Shakespeare's Globe, a performance that earned him a commendation for the Ian Charleson Award. His film work includes playing Mid-Sized Sedan, also known as Brendan, in M. Night Shyamalan's film "Old." Pierre's performance in the film "Brother" won him the Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Performance in a Film. He also appeared alongside Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal in the Garth Davis film "Foe."
Pierre's career includes roles in the superhero film "Blade" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the movie "Rebel Ridge," and portraying a young Mufasa in a "Lion King" film directed by Barry Jenkins. His work spans television, film, and stage, contributing to contemporary British acting and international cinema.
