Nick Swardson Biography

Nick Swardson's reputation as a phenomenally talented comedy writer and performer began when he was chosen as one of the top new comedians in the country at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado in his very first year as a professional. He moved to Los Angeles where he made appearances on The Tonight Show, Conan O'Brien, The Late Late Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In the summer of 2003 Swardson hit another milestone when a script he wrote with Jamie Kennedy (Malibu's Most Wanted) was green lit by Warner Bros. The movie went on to triple it's cost in the box office and moved Swardson to a new level.

Swardson's sketch comedy show Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, premiered on Comedy Central on October 12, 2010 and ran for two seasons. The show was produced in conjunction with Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions.

In 2011, Swardson starred in, co-wrote and co-produced the film Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, also produced by Happy Madison Productions. That same year he starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride and Aziz Ansari in the film 30 Minutes or Less.

In 2014, Swardson performed the voice of the character Troy on the animated series Chozen.

He has also voiced numerous characters in Star vs. the Forces of Evil and starred in Typical Rick.

His quick wit and sharp tongue have attracted the attention of such notable comedians as Jamie Kennedy and Adam Sandler, both of whom have hired Swardson to write and/or star in projects like Nana's Boy for Fox and Benchwarmers for Revolution/Sony.

Today Swardson is currently developing several projects with Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison productions. He has also continued to hone his stand up and has become one of the best most original acts in the country.
