Dr. Derrick Allen has been a successful urban and suburban public school teacher, school counselor, basketball coach, and principal. He has over ten years of experience. Allen attended and graduated from Alcorn State University. He overcame growing up in the projects to become the first person in his family to graduate with his doctorate degree. In addition, Dr. Allen is a 3X basketball coaching champion, record setting school turnaround specialist and published author of 12 books.

Some of those publications include: Classroom Management 101, Surviving the Principalship: Year 1 Guide, and How to Pass the Praxis? He was recently selected for Marquis Who's Who in 2023. Allen wants to deliver his message to impact student-teacher relationships and help as many teachers become certified and ready to control their classrooms from day 1.
