Bjorn Book-Larsson is the VP of Product, Avatar at Roblox, leading Roblox's technical and product strategy for Avatar and Identity initiatives, focused on appearances and expressiveness in the metaverse.
Prior to Roblox, Book-Larsson served as HTC’s VP of Product for the Virtual Reality software platform "Viveport" for the Vive Virtual Reality hardware. Prior to that, he spent 17 years in the game industry as a CTO, COO, and CEO, where he led the development of "All Points Bulletin: Reloaded," "Hawken" and other free-2-play PC, XBox, and PS4 titles.
Book-Larsson was the technical founder of the first global skill games platform "SkillJam" used by hundreds of B2B partners including Microsoft, AOL, Virgin Games, and Lycos, and he has built and managed technical and product teams in the U.S., Taiwan, England, Scotland, Turkey, and India.
Book-Larsson holds a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences/Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has also completed the Chief Technology Officer program at UC Berkeley's Haas School Business.
