Martin Kremenstein Biography

Martin Kremenstein is a recognized ETF industry expert who brings two decades of financial markets experience to RS Metrics where he will help launch financial products. His experience includes thirteen years in the ETF industry where he focused on designing and building ETF franchises at large institutions. Most recently, Martin spearheaded the entrance of Nuveen into the ETF market with a platform centered around ‘three pillars’ of income, responsible investing, and alternatives/real assets. Martin brought Nuveen’s platform to market within a year of joining the firm in late 2015. Shortly thereafter, Nuveen’s ETF business won “New ETF Issuer of the Year” in the 2016 ETF.com Awards.

Prior to Nuveen, Martin worked at Deutsche Bank where he led his team in designing and launching what is now the DWS X-Trackers US ETF business. As of his 2015 departure from Deutsche Bank, their ETF business was $17.5bn in AUM and the 10th largest ETF issuer in the US. Additionally, he worked on their PowerShares DB platform, which was sold to Invesco in early 2015. At its peak, the PowerShares DB managed $16bn in currency and commodity strategies.
