With a reputation for “sculpting stars for the red carpet,” her clients include Hollywood’s top celebrities and power brokers, who seek her help in fitness, nutrition and overall wellness.
Recently starring as the lead trainer in the Lionsgate BeFit series “30 Day Fat Burn,” Astrid has been a master trainer with Barry’s Bootcamp for eight years, and this past summer was tapped by Hearst to provide her training expertise for its new fitness-on-demand brand, CosmoBody.

At age fourteen, Astrid was pulled into the world of fitness as an international fashion model. Raised in the Midwest, she wasn’t prepared for the pressures of being thin, being judged at every moment and, for the first time, feeling insecure about her body. She began to embrace healthier eating and found a second home at the gym. Surrounded by peers struggling with their own weight, body images and eating habits, Astrid was inspired to make a change. Her newfound passion for fitness led her to leave the runway to become a full-time health and fitness trainer, helping those struggling with different forms of unhealthy living.
Having been there herself, Astrid understands clients who feel discomfort working out or eating in front of others. She balances her tough-love, results-oriented approach with a great sense of humor and empathy. Her fitness philosophy is, “Work out and eat right 90% of the time, and you’ll never have to crash diet or spend hours at the gym because you have an upcoming event. And you still have 10% to let loose!”
Astrid has made numerous television appearances as a featured trainer on “The Doctors,” “Access Hollywood,” “Access Hollywood Live,” “Extra,” “E! News,” Hollywood.TV, PopSugar and other media outlets. In addition to being named one of “The 50 Hottest Female Trainers in America 2014” by Shape, in April 2014 she was featured as Self’s “Drop 10 Trainer” and as Cosmopolitan’s “Feature Trainer of the Month.” She is regularly featured in such popular magazines as Cosmopolitan, Details, Glamour, People, Self, Seventeen, Shape and US Weekly. Astrid has also been hired as lead trainer for numerous corporate retreats and is a frequent guest speaker to young girls and at-risk youth, helping build their sense of self-confidence.
Among her professional credentials, Astrid is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective exercise specialist, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America group certified trainer, and American Council on Exercise fitness nutrition specialist.
