Kristin Bauer van Straten Biography

American film and television actress Kristin Bauer is best known for her portrayal of the campy vampire "Pam" on HBO's hit show, True Blood. Before playing a blood thirsty vampire, Bauer starred in several TV series, such as The Crew for FOX, That's Life for CBS with Ellen Burstyn and Paul Sorvino in 2000, and the NBC comedy Hidden Hills.

Bauer has also been a recurring or guest starring on over 40 TV shows including: Everybody Loves Raymond, Just Shoot Me, CSI, Cold Case, Boston Legal, Private Practice, and Seinfeld.

Today she lives in Los Angeles with her musician husband, Abri van Straten. She spends her time between filming, painting and trying to shine a spotlight on animal rights advocacy. She works with IFAW, WildAid, Best Friends, The David Sheldrick Foundation, LEWA doing PSA's, visiting the Hill, and promoting her cause on CNN, The Young Turks, Good Day LA, and HuffPost Live.

Africa has a secret that we are missing - a connection to life, all life. I have been so enriched by this journey and look forward to sharing it and hopefully inspiring others."
