Vanessa Hudgens is an American actress and singer whose career spans film, television, stage, and music. After making her feature film debut in "Thirteen," Hudgens gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Gabriella Montez in the "High School Musical" film series. The original film became Disney Channel's most-watched movie that year, and Hudgens recorded several songs for the soundtrack, including the duet "Breaking Free" with Zac Efron, which reached number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The "High School Musical" franchise expanded with sequels, and the third installment was released theatrically, earning nearly $253 million at the global box office and ranking among the top 25 highest-grossing movies of its year.

Hudgens pursued a variety of roles beyond her Disney origins. She released her first album, "V," followed by "Identified," and appeared in films such as "Sucker Punch," "Spring Breakers," and "Machete Kills," which allowed her to take on more mature roles.
