Stephen Graham Biography
Stephen Graham is an English actor known for playing Anthony "Tony Pro" Provenzano in the Martin Scorcese film The Irishman. He is also known for his roles as Tommy in the film Snatch, notorious bank robber Baby Face Nelson in the film Public Enemies, and Andrew "Combo" Gascoigne in This is England as well as its television sequels, "This Is England '86" and "This Is England '88."
Graham was born in the Southdene part of Kirkby, Merseyside, to a pediatric nurse mother and a social worker father. His father was Jamaican and one of his grandmothers was Swedish.
He has portrayed characters from several British regions, including Cockney, a Geordie, a Scouser, and a Scotsman; a 19th-century New York gang member, a Chicago mobster, a Brooklyn mobster, a Texan, and the short-fused British nationalist Combo in This is England. He was nominated for an RTS award for his work "The Street" and a British Independent Film Award for his work on This Is England.
Graham has also appeared in several music videos, including "I Remember" by Deadmau5 and Kaskade, "Fluorescent Adolescent" and "When the Sun Goes Down," both by the Arctic Monkeys, and "Unlovable" by Babybird.
In January 2020, it was announced that Graham had set up a production company entitled Matriarch Productions.
